KNEVA Little Black Pot | Square Mini Dutch Oven
A little pot for everyday meals and home baking. Made for 1–3 people, the KNEVA Little Black Pot helps you cook portions that suit a smaller household, with less excess food. Use this compact square mini Dutch oven for a comforting stew, butter cake or a small shokupan-style milk loaf. Black enamelled cast iron, a fitted lid and a neat square footprint make it useful from cooking to storage.
Why you will reach for it
- Right-sized for 1–3 people. Cook a smaller meal or bake a modest loaf or cake. Match your recipe and portions to the pot, leaving room for food to rise or simmer.
- Black enamel for everyday cooking. The enamel coating protects the cast iron and is suitable for acidic dishes, including tomato-based stews. Care for the coating and dry the pot thoroughly after washing.
- Stew today, a small bake tomorrow. Cast iron holds heat once hot. Follow a suitable recipe for stews, butter cake or milk bread.
- A compact square footprint. Fits neatly alongside other containers in a cupboard or fridge. Check your shelf clearance, including the handles and lid. Allow the hot pot to cool before fridge storage.
- A loaf shaped by the pot. The gently sloping walls produce a loaf with a wider top and narrower base. Expect a tapered shokupan profile rather than a perfect cube.
- Thoughtful, solid details. A stepped lid, an arched lid handle, integrated side handles and the cast KNEVA mark.
Know the size before you buy
This is a mini pot. The 22 cm measurement includes the side handles; it is not the width of the cooking cavity. Check the overall dimensions against your oven space, allowing room above the lid handle and around the pot.

Start with a real bake
See the Little Black Pot in use in our soft kefir milk bread guide, with the method shown step by step. Grease the pot as directed in your recipe; an enamel finish does not mean that every bake will release without preparation.
Care for your Little Black Pot
- Let the pot cool before washing. Avoid sudden temperature changes.
- Hand wash with mild detergent and a soft sponge. Dry thoroughly before storing.
- Use wooden or silicone utensils and avoid abrasive scrubbers on the enamel.
- Use oven gloves for both the pot and lid: the cast-iron handles get hot.
